I'm a communication Engineer.I have a Teaching License from the Illinois board of education. I'm a bilingual teacher assistant in SD308.I have 5 years of tutoring experience in math k-8.
I am enrolling in my master's degree in M.Ed Middle Level with Licensure Mathematics at st. Francis University.
I speak 3 languages English, Arabic and french
Math has been my passion. I was working as a computer engineer for 10 years. My love for teaching was restored. Ever since I aimed to change my career and become an instructor engineer. then becoming a bilingual teacher assistant at Old Post Elementary school.
Due to my mathematics background, I would jump in on lessons and help students in understanding some challenging math problems. Several of the teachers would invite me to co-teach with them during math class. I focused on taking initiative and my colleagues encouraged me to use my strengths and start to take steps to become a math teacher. I believe that I have the qualities to be a successful teacher. I understand that my teaching style will evolve as I draw on my strengths, knowledge, skills, values, and experiences. Being positive, prepared, organized and flexible are more strengths of mine.
Additionally, I am passionate about teaching. I want to make math enjoyable and develop valuable learning experiences for every student. I tutor my students and was succeed to help them get grade A in math.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
a lot of students hate math, I believe the main reason is the way they've been exposed to it. the first step is to erase their initial fear from Math o their misconception that Math is an obstacle. Then we go through the basic concept that builds our Math understanding to go through the learning curve to Mastering the subject.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm a Computer & Communication Engineer, I studied heavy math. I worked as a freelance Tutor for more than 5 years, for individuals and institutions. I got a Teacher Assistant license and I work as a Teacher Assistant in D308. other than any Teacher Assistant, I have my Math class after proving high skills in Math Teaching.
