I have been painting and teaching for over 30 years. We offer paint and sip classes both in our home studio in Lindenhurst as well as at reclaimed artisans in Libertyville or at your location. We work with students to determine what they're interested in learning how to paint as far as subject matter or style. We also specialize in giving new life to old and worn things in our booths located in Libertyville and in Antioch.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to find out their past painting experience- what they are interested in as far as subjects and mediums. We do many "anyone can paint" type classes where we work on the end result of that project but also offer the ability to work on bettering a skill or technique.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have e been painting for 35+'years and teaching for over 30 years to both small and large groups. I have taught children through seniors.
I have designed and worked on product development for numerous companies. I have published many magazine articles and books.
I am a Certified Craft Designer, Certified Product Demonsteator and have done customs designs for many clientele through the years from private to corporate.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Standard pricing for 2 hour classes starts at $30 plus cost of materials and prep time. Travel costs are determined per assignment and discussed with clients.
How did you get started teaching?
Years ago after having a guest teacher in a studio who taught fabric painting, I got hooked and went home and painted a dozen sweatshirts over a weekend. The owner of the studio asked if I would be interested in teaching. The classes were an immediate hit. When we moved to Illinois I approached several shops to fill their need for painting classes. My involvement with paint, brush and other manufacturers expanded my design and teaching experience nationally.
