We created the Civic Academy to train students to fully immerse and prepare the next generation of well-rounded actors by teaching industry standards. The SBCT faculty works together to develop an integrated curriculum teaching classes in an assortment of subjects:
● Acting: Stanislavski’s System, Meisner Technique, & Atlantic’s Practical Aesthetics.
● Improv Chicago-Style Comedy & Longform Improvisation, Viola Spolin Technique
● Movement for the Actor: Alexander, Suzuki, & Viewpoints
● Voice for the Actor: Linklater Technique
● Dance for the Theatre: Ballet, Tap, & Modern
● Singing for the Theatre
● Scene Study and Auditioning
