About
Being a full time performer myself, I love guiding others in their desire to achieve a dream. I teach an actual toolbox for actors, techniques that guarantee growth and accomplishment. I help you prepare to compete in this very competitive field. Get ready to grow. No set curriculum because I treat every student as an individual and work at their particular level. I will and can help you.
I enjoy teaching because being a film director I've learned exactly what people need to be on set or stage and to be successful there. I've performed in 100 million dollar films on and off Broadway and in network television series. I've studied with incredible acting coaches, developed my own curriculum and love passing on this art. Recently locating to Kansas City, Missouri, I am starting a new film company here and productions are readying to begin.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I look at all experience and training each person has (none required at all) and go forward from there. I work with absolute newcomers to people on set working.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I began training in New York in the eighties. I then worked on and off Broadway, in television and film, later attending film school in Los Angeles, becoming a director and producer. I am still a full time actor, singer and filmmaker.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $75 per hour for classes over the internet. If someone wants a half hour class I charge $50. For in person classes I'll travel up to 20 miles and charge $100 for an hour.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching in 1989 when I opened my first studio The Actor Shop. Because of Universal Studios in Orlando, the town desperately needed actors readied for set. Though specializing in film and television techniques I also work with stage actors being one myself. You're never too young or old to act. Some film stars didn't even begin acting until their late forties.
What types of students have you worked with?
I work with actors aged 8 and up. I work with newbies to people with masters degrees in theater. I've worked with stars on set, coached people on auditions, in groups, privately and now remotely over the internet.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I relocated to Kansas City a couple years ago and am excited to bring some of the industry here and to teach some of its talent.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
When looking for an acting coach, always look for someone educated, talented and who HAS real life experience. Always check their resumes and credits. One way is IMDB.com.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What do you want out of this? Where do you want to take it? How serious are you? Are you willing to work?
