About this pro

It has been a dream of mine for a long time to be a full-time piano teacher. I have 25 years experience playing piano and 7 years teaching.  I play many other instruments and have an overall passion for music!

Some of my strengths include patience, humor and compassion for others.  I want to figure out what makes you tick. What do you want to learn about piano? I am always looking for new and exciting ways to teach piano. Did you know they make color by note coloring books? At the end of the day if I can share even a fraction of my love for music with you and you are able to learn something, that is what gives me true joy.

Patience, Passion and Perseverance! These are words to live by in my studio. What started as a curiosity turned into a passion and obsession. To pass that on to someone else? It is my ultimate dream!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Each student is unique in many ways. I find out what you are interested in learning and go from there!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a B.S. in Instrumental Music Education with an emphasis on piano as well as three years of experience as a paraprofessional for special needs children.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

I charge the following for standard lessons:

$15/30 minutes

$20/45 minutes

$30/60 minutes

There is a $5 travel fee for lessons not given at my studio.

How did you get started teaching?

I've known that I wanted to be a teacher since I was 7 years old.

What types of students have you worked with?

I worked with many special needs students. As a piano teacher I work with all ages from 5-90+ years old!
