Laura received her Bachelor of Music in Education/Instrumental at Wichita State University in 1996. She first taught lessons at Senseney Music in Wichita, then at Stubbs’ Music Center in Tallahassee Florida in 1999. Since moving back to Wichita in 2003, she has taught in her own studio and is organist/pianist, director of Atonement, an instrumental ensemble, and director of the children's choir, Rainbow Choir at Covenant Presbyterian Church. Laura is a member of many professional music organizations such as MTNA: Music Teachers National Association, KMTA: Kansas Music Teachers Association, and WMMTA: Wichita Metropolitan Music Teachers Association, which she served as Treasurer 2006-09, President 2010-11. As a member of these organizations Laura is able to stay current with trends in music and education. In addition to her organ/piano duties she also plays clarinet and bass clarinet at Covenant Presbyterian church, Senseney Music Community Band and in Delano Wind Ensemble. Laura is a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music by Music Teachers National Association. She is certified as a piano teacher. Laura is also a Licensed Kindermusik Educator.
