Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We talk with the student to determine his/her learning objectives, such as the type of dance and the intended setting. We also gather information about the student's background in music or dance. With people who have never danced before, we start with listening skills, hearing the beat and walking in time to the music. With more advanced dancers, we focus on the dynamics of the dance, using your and your partner's momentum and letting the steps flow naturally.
