About

Cam's Golf Academy was started to teach young juniors the game of golf using the Operation 36 platform. While CGA continues to push junior golf, it has also opened up to ladies and adults both individual and group lessons.

CGA is powered by Operation 36 for the group lesson setting and also uses Trackman technology for individual lessons.

I enjoy just seeing my students get better. I love to help people in any aspect of life and golf just makes it that much easier to accomplish that. I have a very strong passion for this game and I love to show others why.

Frequently asked questions

My process for working with a new student is to start simple and small. There should never be an information overload or a big change on the first lesson unless asked for by the student. Again, golf is hard! My job is to make it easy for you to understand how your swing works in a very simplistic manner.

I graduated from the Golf Academy of America and went to Indiana Wesleyan University. I am currently working on my PGM program to become a PGA Professional as well.

I got started teaching by my high school coach. He really got me passionate about the game of golf and I saw how much fun he had teaching. I started to watch him a lot of lessons he taught and desired to understand the golf swing to help my game. Doing so led to a passion that I cannot even start to describe.

I have worked with students who cannot hit the ball to students who have been inducted into the Hall of Fame for Golfweek. I can be as general and as specific as I want based off the skill level of the student.

The most recent event I am fond of is a student I have recently worked with. He started out frustrated by this game because he wasn't getting better. He honestly could not even hit it out of his shadow. Now, he is working towards breaking 40 on 9 holes for the first time. He is infatuated with the game and is always picking my brain about it and how to get better. It is nice to see that passion shared by another person.

My advice is work with somebody that is invested in your game as much as you are. The relationship with the teacher and how well you all get along is important but not as much as them wanting to see you succeed. So many instructors will band aid their student to get them to come back the next week. My goal is for you to be able to self diagnose yourself and know how your swing works based on evaluating your ball flight and divot.

What is your goal in this game? What score are you trying to reach? What part of your game is weak? What are you looking for in a teacher? How much time are you looking to put in to change something? Are you willing to practice outside of the lesson?
