Individualized instruction geared towards the specific needs of each student. 40 years' experience in a variety of equine disciplines and in facets of local equine industry. Low-key, low stress environment, students of all ages. In addition to lessons, this will be the 9th year of offering horsemanship based summer camps for children 7-18, we also host clinics with outside instructors, adult ' wine, art and horses' evenings, and other equine based events.
I love helping horse lovers gain more knowledge and skills in order to enjoy their passion more fully.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Ask and assess student skills and goals, start gently and carefully and work up to the edge of the student's knowledge and comfort level, help student build skills, practice and stay confident.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Participated in 4-H and US Pony Clubs growing up, worked in local equine business with breeding, training young horses, exercising racehorses, steeplechasers, polo ponies, showed several disciplines. In most recent decade, I have enjoyed partipation in foxhunting, horse camping, search and rescue with horses, riding Sidesaddle, horse archery and driving. Certified Sidesaddle instructor, lifelong learner ( I still take lessons and clinics too!)
