My name is Sam Lyons. My passion is being able to teach people how to play the guitar quickly and easily. I have been successfully teaching beginner guitar lessons for over 40 years and teach young and old alike.
If you want to learn how to play guitar and be able to play your favorite styles of music like country, blues, rock, folk, jazz, or similar styles, I can help you.
Many students come to me wanting to learn how to play their favorite songs, how to improvise or be able to jam with other guitarists or simply wanting to improve their overall guitar skills.
Over the 40+ years I’ve been teaching, I’ve helped thousands of students achieve these goals and if you have similar goals I can help you too.
In my lessons, I focus on a broad range of student’s goals and needs. If you want to learn how to play songs, I’ll teach what chords and techniques you need to learn, any theory, exercises or drills or anything else needed to help you learn any song and master it.
In playing professionally and teaching guitar for many years now and in lessons, I’ll share my knowledge and apply it to make sure you learn the most important aspects related to your guitar goals.
Like for instance, if you want to understand why a certain song or solo sounds the way it does, I’ll be able to explain it to you and show you how you can create one yourself.
