About
I am a trauma-informed art therapist as well as a special education specialist. I provided both therapeutic and educational services through the arts. I am a 24+ veteran educator of Orleans Parish Public Schools.
I have been a dedicated public servant to my community in Orleans parish. I believe the creative process is more important than the product. The arts makes connections to not only every academic subject but also is also a valuable tool towards holistic healing of self. I am an art therapist that is passionate about helping my community heal from systemic racism, historical grief and loss, and generational trauma.
The arts not only empowers individuals but it can empower a community.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BA in Fine Arts, Minor in psychology and a Masters of Art in Art Therapy. I am a credentialed and licensed art therapist under the Art Therapy Credential Board (ATCB).
