About
I am fluent in both Spanish and English. I have used my experiences as a public school language instructor, a one year immersion in Valencia, Spain, and have held many positions in the Boston medical community as a Spanish Interpreter. I use a variety of methods to help my students gain a basic comprehension of Spanish in 1 month. This level is useful if you are traveling to a Spanish speaking country. I lived as a foreign exchange student traveling throughout Spain, so I can assist people who will be needing a Level 2 comprehension of reading and writing Spanish. I can also prepare a person for employment requirements with a Professional Comprehension Level 3.
To pass on my knowledge to the person who wants to communicate in Spanish and feel confident by doing so. I have been speaking Spanish as a second language for 31 years. My appearance fools people, due to my strong Boston accent! This does not prepare people for my fluency, speed, and ease of speaking Spanish. I enjoy the surprise on people's faces when I begin speaking Spanish to them. Whether they are from Puerto Rico, Mexico, Central America, Cuba, or Spain, I can keep up, understand, and assist in interpreting either in fun social settings or serious professional situations. I can really make a difference by assisting in getting thoughts, information, and ideas communicated and understood between people. Making those involved feel good!
