Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following:

I would ask them to demonstrate what they know either by reading or asking to play some chords. If the student has never even seen a guitar before then I will start from the ground up. Hopefully establish what the student is wishing to get out of lessons and what I am wishing for them.

A guitar lesson with me might entail the following:

Guitar lessons basically take the same shape across the board but tailored to any specific desire the student may have. We would go through reading/technique exercises or talk about theory. If desired we can learn a specific song if the student so chooses.

The qualities I look for in an ideal guitar student might include the following:

Someone who practices and is excited and enthusiastic about learning.
