I'm a full time musician and guitar teacher working in the Boston area. I began playing guitar 28 years ago at age 11 studying studying rock, jazz folk and classical music with instructors and on my own before attending Berklee college of music in the early 1990s. I currently play with several local bands and produce out of my studio in Newton. I previously played with the local rock Noble Rot, whose song "Kicked to the Curb" was featured on Guitar Hero 2.
I first began teaching when I was a student at Berklee College of Music and I now teach full time. I've taught both privately and in schools. I currently teach students from all age groups, from very young children to retired adults, many of whom are beginners with no prior experience.
My teaching style is relaxed and adaptable, focusing on the particular students interests and needs rather then a strict course or method book. Styles and tastes vary, and I believe that while learning guitar you ought to learn the songs and music you enjoy.
Students have come to me for many different reasons. I make it a point to meet each student individually.
I teach out of my studio on California St. in Newton. I teach both half hour and one hour lessons to beginning and advanced players of varying styles and interests. Please contact me for rates or to book a 1 hour trial lesson for $20
