My primary goal is to educate young musicians and to develop their interest in music so it will become a lifelong learning journey rather than solely an 'extracurricular activity.' I have experienced teaching private piano to children and teenagers ages 3 - 16 from beginner to intermediate level.
I enjoy interacting with students on a weekly about the topic that I am very familiar with, giving them trick and tips on reading notes, and challenging them on a quarterly piano recitals & competitions. I am also attentive on my students' progress every week, month, and eventually every year.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My first lesson could be a 20 minutes free-trial lesson. In this session, I typically introduce myself, interact with them to know how much they know about music, and at the end start my teaching demonstration. After the lesson, they (or their parents) have a week to decide whether they want to continue with me or the other way.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I obtained a Bachelor's degree in Music and a Master's degree in Music, both in Piano Performance. I also have been giving private piano lessons for almost 5 years.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching private piano lessons as soon as I graduated from high school. Then later in college I started teaching again, in Roberson School of Music, and have not stop until now.
What types of students have you worked with?
I had taught pupils with ADHD and a student with destitute of vision.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure that you are comfortable with the teacher, but not too comfortable that you are still challenging yourself every week!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Definitely look over their education background and how long they have spent their time teaching.
