About
I am a pianist, accompanist and experienced teacher based in Baltimore, having recently obtained my Master's degree and Graduate Performance Diploma in piano performance from the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University. I currently hold positions as graduate accompanist at the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University, pianist and music coordinator at the Patapsco United Methodist Church, and piano instructor at a few music schools in Baltimore and privately. I enjoy working with students of all levels and age groups. Having taught piano lessons for over eight years, I balance my teaching studio alongside an active performing career as a soloist and collaborative pianist throughout North America and Europe. Based in my studio in Mount Vernon of Baltimore, I dedicate myself to the pursuit of advanced musical performance and research, as well as sharing my knowledge and experiences with young musicians. I guide students through an artistic vision that helps them understand, appreciate, and excel at the artistic and technical aspects of piano playing, and I enjoy sharing my love for music with my students and helping them build fun and fulfilling experiences through the journey of music learning.
I enjoy seeing my students grow musically, technically, and artistically through the learning journey that we share together. Teaching others is a learning process for myself as I discover how others perceive and understand this complex art form.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I design lessons based on individual level and areas of interest. Initially, I like to discuss with the student or parent the goal of our lessons, whether it is for recreation, enjoyment, cultivating an area of interest or more profesisonal pursuits. With that in mind, I take into account the students prior training, as well as the level of dedication and time they are able to put into this learning journey. I plan and build our curriculum and repertoire catering towards each individual student's needs and aspirations.
