I was classically trained by two private piano teachers who were members of the Music Teachers Association in Maryland. I performed in recitals and placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd in piano competitions. I performed in the National Guild Auditions for several years, including a 10 piece program. I took Music Education and Education courses at the University of Maryland College Park. I scored 100% on music theory exams during my classical piano training. I also enjoy playing and teaching contemporary music on the piano as well as writing songs to sing and play on the the piano. Recording a CD between two studios was my other proud accomplishment.

I charge between 65 and 75 dollars for an hour of piano lessons, depending on my travel time to the student's home.

Flat Fee for piano lessons if less than 1 hour length of time: $35 for 30 minute lesson; $55 for 45 minute lesson

$65 for 60 minute lesson if 15 miles or less travel time

$70 for 60 minute lesson if 20 miles or less travel time

$75 for 60 minute lesson if 25 miles or less travel time

I do not charge for cancelled lessons due to the student being sick, or for me cancelling lessons when I am sick. I appreciate advanced notice, preferably the month before, if the student will be on vacation. I do not charge for missed lessons if the student goes on vacation and provides advanced notice.
