About
My background and previous training in anatomy, physiology and kinesiology affords me a special insight into one's body. Basically I know what hurts and why. More importantly, I know how to fix it!
I love helping people feel and look better. Regaining some part of their lives that they thought they lost. My only rule is that you leave me feeling better than when you walked in!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I use a medical history form for first timers. I believe it is critical in helping people not only feel better but, also we do not want to re-injure or create a new dificulty or issue.
I then will take the first time student through a 50 minute private session using the pilates reformer and other pieces of equipment I think would be benificial for the client. Whether it be the trap table, chair or weights.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
3 Pilates Certifications
1 Personal Trainer Certification ISSA.
CPR/AED Certification
1 Barre' Certification
Background in massage therapy, anatomy, physiology and kinetics. I have been teaching fitness for over 26 yrs. Your in very good hands.

What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with, professioanal athletes, novices and week end warriors the like. Detroit Lions, cyclists, prof. dancers, any one who has the want and desire to be stronger, more fluid and flexible while remaining lean.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure that instructors have the proper training and enough of it. Pilates instructor training consists of 500 hrs.for a certificate of completion.
Less for a personal trainer but, you do want someone with knowledge of the human body and how it works and why. Without a background in anatomy, I just do not see how they can keep you safe or fix an ailment nor can they make you feel better which is a ket element for me.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What do I want to achieve? Goals

Any surgeries or injuries?
What about my diet or present workout routine if any.
