What is your typical process for working with a new student?
An assisted stretching session resembles a combination of a yoga class, massage, and chiropractic visit. Think of hamstring or shoulder stretches as examples of exercises you already perform on your own. However, by adding an additional proffssional set of hands to gently push your muscles, you will experience a deeper stretch & muscle release. Ali is trained & experinced in stretching techniques and have a background in movement, such as muscle release, sport massage, personal training, yoga & Progressive muscle relaxation. Additionally, it is extremely soothing—almost meditative (as long as you remember to breath).
It's easier to be fully present in your body as you feel your muscles release because Ali will take on the labor of streching & moving your limbs.
