Langmead Piano Studio

I love teaching piano and I am eager to share my passion for music through lessons, performances, classes, and listening with piano students and families.

I am an active member of the Minnesota Music Teachers Association and have three degrees in piano performance, culminating in my Doctorate of Musical Arts diploma from the Peabody Conservatory. My mentors included Veda Kaplinsky, Julian Martin, Dominique Weber, Marian Hahn, Gyorgy Sebok, Anthony di Bonaventura, and Todd Welbourne, and Robert Weirich.

I have been a piano teacher for over 30 years, teaching privately, in music schools, and at the college and graduate school level. I currently have 15 students in my home studio and I really enjoy teaching students from all walks of life who learn music from all eras, levels, and styles.

I have performed as a soloist and chamber musician all across the United States and Canada, and have recently returned to the concert stage after raising four daughters.

I always meet with students for a complimentary lesson to see if we are a good fit, and for you to see my teaching space and get your questions answered. Also, as a member of MMTA I also participate in MusicLink, a program to help all families afford lessons with me.
