Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Each student will have different goals and my methods vary defending on the individual. Are you working towards an audition? Do you want to feel better speaking in front of a crowd? Depending on your specific needs, we will build tools to help navigate the great wide world of performance and find styles of working that best suit you.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My background in professional theater started on the East Coast as a child where I participated in equity musical theater shows. I started "sneaking" into college courses in high school such as: Meisner Theory at The Walnut Street Theater. Improv 1 and 2 classes with Kevin Esmond of Burlington Foot-lighters in New Jersey. Additionally, I've taken acting for film, theater history and many more classes along the way. My primary vocal training was with Robert Edwin from 2001-2004, whose students range from Broadway cast members to film and TV stars.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $1/per minute.
How did you get started teaching?
I started assistant directing and teaching improv in high school. The last ten years I have ben engaged in studying film acting, producing two film myself and music. Now that I am returning to straight plays and film work, I have begun taking private students and I love it!
What types of students have you worked with?
Children, adults, character actors, professionals who want to work on public speaking. Just a ton of diverse and interesting people.
