Mike Murphy is an absolute joy to jam with! His talent is incredible and his patience with his students is amazing! The Adult Band Camp is a fabulous experience, and I highly recommend Ellisville Music Academy to anyone interested in a wonderful musical adventure!

Good news for music lovers. Mike Murphy has opened his new Ellisville Music Academy. Mike is my guitar teacher and is one of St Louis’ most talented instructors. His approach is easy to learn and has you playing songs on day one. I also am a participant in band camp. What a blast that experience is. If you have ever wanted to play in a band I highly recommend this experience. Learning to play and sing in a group is unbelievably rewarding. All of this in his new facility. Roomy lesson studios and band rehearsal space. All top of the line recording equipment, band equipment, keyboards and drum kit. I highly recommend EMA if you or a family member has an interest in music. Mike’s talent as a teacher and a player are unparalleled. FIVE STARS are not enough!

Mike Murphy is the best! He is a talented musician and great teacher. He has been teaching my daughter the bass guitar for over a year and she really enjoys him and relates well to him. Mike makes lessons fun and forms bands with his teenage students, you can tell he really cares about his students.

My son has been playing with Mike for years and we would follow him anywhere! Mike is not only a talented musician, but he is a fantastic teacher who is able to find the best in each of his students. My son loves taking lessons so much that he has participated in Mike’s band lessons (which end in awesome concerts) many times. Mike is professional, kind, talented and patient. We are so glad he has his own studio so others can have the same opportunity to learn an instrument from the best.

Mike Murphy is a superb musician who is also a great, aways enthusiastic teacher for all levels and all ages. Whatever your musical interests or goals hell be right there, going the extra mile. Ive been learning from him on guitar for several years. This new facility in Ellisville is excellent. This is the only place to go, absolutely recommend.
