Rachel Morgan's Piano Lesson Studio
About
I've been playing and performing piano for 17 years. I've been an Independently Contracted Piano Teacher through Music and Arts for a year. I'm a Junior in college at the University of Missouri- St. Louis and I'm ready to continue teaching and sharing my knowledge with other young students. Contact me for more information!
I love teaching students and pushing them to get better and better at every lesson. I try to only take on private students that are really interested in working hard to learn piano, and are willing to spend serious time practicing. I like to push my students with pieces and assignments that are challenging and help them learn the piano as quickly as possible! I would love to help your student reach their full potential at the piano and as a new, intermediate, or advanced musician!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I love to utilize method books like Alfred and Bastien. I make the assessment of which book to choose based on prior knowledge at the instrument and age/maturity of the child. Adults usually get the Bastien Adult method book or get started with playing simple pieces.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm a music business major currently at UMSL, and I have been receiving piano instruction weekly since I was 5 years old (17 years). I currently study with Alla Voskoboynikova, who is a world renowned pianist and teacher who studied at the Moscow Conservatory and has been teaching at UMSL for 20 years.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$20/half-hour, $40/hour
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students from 5 years old to 55! I prefer to work with teens and adults, but I work great with kids and get them interested in learning and being fascinated with the piano.
