DoubleB Tennis Lessons
About
I absolutely love the game! I am very enthusiastic, and have a high level of energy. I guarantee you will learn something new, each time you step on the court with me.
I love my job! I get to be outside for most of the year, and am able to share my love and passion for the game. Most important and satisfying, is the fact that I get to witness my students progress. It's a wonderful feeling when I see them having fun, and getting better all at once

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I always start with the basics. I like to start of with the forehand ground stroke first(predominant hand). Depending on my students ability we might just work on that for the whole lesson. If my student shows great ability on the forehand, then I will proceed to introducing the backhand ground stroke....and so on.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been coaching/instructing for the past 9 years, and playing since I was 7. In high school I worked at my tennis club where I trained as a junior. I did everything from stringing racquets, working the front desk, and filling in for the tennis camps over the summer. I played for 2 years in college, and became USPTA certified. I have coached in the states of Ohio, Utah, and Missouri. I was the head coach for Skyline Highschool boys tennis team for 3 years.
I am now in Missouri with my wife and kids. I am currently the St. Louis University Men's Assistant Coach, and I am also on the pro staff at Missouri Athletic Club.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I am able to take payment before each individual lesson, or I offer a discount rate for buying a lesson package
How did you get started teaching?
I didn't know what I wanted to do after college and my Highschool coach called me one day and told me I would be a great coach/instructor.
What types of students have you worked with?
Every type! Seriously.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I just got back from the A10 Conference Championships down in Orlando Fl. My men went there and competed the best they had all season! We made it to the Quarterfinals and lost to the eventual champions, but I have seen a better dual match in the past 5 years
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Go with a coach that you feel will drive you to become better, and at the same time not over do it. That type of coach is hard to find!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
There isn't a question that can't be asked. Every question is worth asking.
