Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Begin with a quick consult, 15-20 min. From there we schedule a 3 day assessment that begins with lifestyle, nutrition talks and body metrics. After that we do a physical assessment of how you move and any problem areas. Finally it ends with work capacity and basic strength levels.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a CrossFit coach since 2009 and have owned my own facility since 2012. I have taken extensive courses through OPEX fitness to further my education in individual design programming from 2013 to present. I am continually learning new approaches and methods to ensure I can meet you where you are at today.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I operate on monthly fees of $299. Workouts can be done in my top of the line facility or at your own gym.
How did you get started teaching?
I began teaching as a desire to help others and that has turned into a passion to help others achieve a better quality and way of life.
What types of students have you worked with?
Everyone from young children (6-12) high school athletes aspiring to higher college goals of sports, and most recently my biggest population is with regular people looking to improve their health and lifestyle.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find someone that cares for your outcome and is not just looking to book more hours. Get past typical gym terms and the norms and find something that is right for you that will give you results.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Where have you been, where are you now, and where do you want to go?
