About
I have been teaching over 18 years now and my teaching is focusing on solid basic technique as well as musicality. Starting from these two building blocks, many of my students have gained proficiency efficiently.
My teaching lineage includes the great 20th century violinists and pedagogues such as Ivan Galamian, David Oistrakh, Josef Gingold, and Jascha Heifetz. I graduated from Yale University with a Masters of Music and Artist Diploma and am a doctoral candidate at University of Miami, both in string performance. I was a teaching assistant of the legendary violinist Charles Castleman during my years at the University of Miami, where I taught groups of music students music theory and violin lessons under Frost Prep as well. I hope to get to know you and help you with your musical journey!
I love witnessing my student make progress and achieve goals. Each student have different strengths and weaknesses, and I enjoy finding the most effiecient way to help them grow as better violinists. I take pride in my teaching method that were inhereted from presitegious violins schools. I teach with my own experience of overcoming challenges and achieving goals, and I firmly belive that this teaching philosophy can benefit students by showing them with good work ethic with patience.

A student would receive a trial lesson when they begin studying with me. This is to diagnose the student's overall level and the setup. Materials and books will be assigned and if the student is new to violin they will learn the essentials and the initial setup.
I also travel to student's house with extra charge.
