Bill uses a comprehensive approach to golf development, play and performance and his teaching integrate new breakthroughs in science with the time-honored traditions and teaching philosophies of the past. He is a highly personable character, an enthusiastic and encouraging individual. His animated style and humor make him very likable and provide for a nonthreatening learning experience in an informal teaching environment. His masters in counseling psychology and formidable knowledge of the field provide clarity to his observations and analysis as well as depth to his insights. It is, however, imparting a love of the game to his students that Bill excels most. This love for the game is contagious, and in an afternoon much can be learned vicariously sharing in his imagination as to what the game means to him and the possibilities of what it can mean for his student's development, both in and outside of the game. Pebble Creek Par 3 Golf and Learning course is a great setting to get this development on track....for a lifetime of enjoyment playing golf!
I've loved playing golf for over 50 years, and it's a great feeling to impart golf's essentials to students of all ages and to share my passion for the sport to those who might seek my instruction, guidance, or counsel in such matters of the heart. I try to encourage. motivate, educate, and reinforce an individual's interest in golf. I strive to be an exceptional mentor, advocate, and ambassador of the game. Having spent a good deal of my adult life teaching collegiate psychology. I now apply this knowledge of the mind, body, and behavior to the task of actualizing potential in golfing ability. One student (client) at a time.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
This depends on the nature of the students needs. If a beginner I describe the basic pillars of golf development: grip, stance & posture, alignment, and ball position. I'll also cover the different strokes in golf; putting, chipping, pitching, and full swing. If a student/client has a specific interest then I will focus my attention on modifying said area. If a person is not sure what really needs addressing, I will conduct a playing lesson, accompanying them during a round of golf and summarizing my observations and offer suggestions as to improvement.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I earned a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology in 1985 and spent the majority of my adult life (1987-2015) teaching collegiate psychology in NY and NC.
In 2003 I began teaching The Psychology of Golf classes through continuing education classes. in 2012 I published a Sports Psychology text entitled Phenomenal Golf: The INNER Art & Science of "Being There."
In 2013 I earned affiliate status with The United States Golf Teaching Federation (USGTF) In May of 2015 I advanced to associate status, and in October of 2015 I passed my performance ability testand became a full member of the USTGF.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
For individual lessons I generally charge thirty five dollars per hour. If adults sign up for four lessons in advance, the price is one hundred dollars. Two adults together for one lesson is 40 dollars, 3 adults 50 dollars. Group lessons 4 adults 60 dollars.
Different prices apply for Pebble Creek youth classes which require 20 dollars registration fee, and 12 dollars per sessions attended.

After teaching classroom psychology for two decades I completed a sports psychology book Phenomenal Golf: The INNER Art & Science of "Being There".
