What is your typical process for working with a new student?
For new students, I ask them to sing a song for me so that I may access their voice. We then do some ear training and then I teach them the correct way of breathing. I then have them apply to this new breathing to new vocal exercises that I team them.
With my continuing students, we have 10-15 minutes of vocal warm up exercises and then we work on their assigned music.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Always remember that not only are you looking for an experienced instructor, but also one that you have a good rapport with. Voice lessons can be challenging, but they should be fun too!
