I focus on every aspect of Horsemanship and tailor your lessons to your goals and assist in helping you set them. From Grooming to Showing, Confidence building, putting the Saftey and well-being of horse and rider first are my Top Priority.
I Specialize in beginners through 3 foot Hunter /Jumper and Equitation. I also have experience teaching Intro - Training level Dressage and Eventing, as well as APHA/AQHA hunter under saddle. With over 40 years experience in the show ring and Out, I bring a fun relaxed approach to our lesson program.
I love watching my students have fun as well as learn to be the best horse-people they can be. When working on a specific task, overcoming fears or trying something new, Seeing that "light bulb" come on when the frustration or confusion leaves and they get it, That Big Smile of Excitement is what its all about.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
our first lesson is a discounted introduction and evaluation. We spend time getting to know each other. I ask them about their knowledge and experience and let them ask me questions. I make sure they know that there are NO stupid questions. We start at leading and putting on halter and discuss safety first.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 30+ years riding, showing and Teaching in the various disciplines. I have a BA in Leisure StudiesRecreation Administration Concentratibng on Therapeutic Recreation. For Three years,I was the Program Director for Prancing Horse Center for Therapeutic Horseback Riding- The largest Non-residential program in the State of NC. Teaching group and Private lessons working with the Therapists to achieve their Goals. I bring the compassionand paitience necessary in TR to ALL my lessons

our first lesson is an Evaluation/introduction At a discounted rate of $50 then if student want to participate in our program I have seperate contract subscriptions to be paid monthly depending on how many lesson the want per week
