What is your typical process for working with a new student?
A client assessment to set goals, set a 6 week lesson plan to achieve the skills that are exciting and fun and they just want to do more and more of the type of art work they aspire to learn.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
High School and college main academic studies. And owned photography business.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
By the hour. $30online $40 out in the field away from my home. Sadly my present roommate is not comfortable with me bringing students in. We will have to meet out. I am finding a new process due to Covid. So I am going Try doing a zoom meet and assessment(free/no charge) in addition to the 6 week class timeframe. All class fees due 1 week prior to class time to ensure your spot. Cancellation w/refund min 24 hrs. 23 hrs fee is non refundable.
How did you get started teaching?
In every year since middle school and teacher assistantship.
What types of students have you worked with?
High school, college up to retirees.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I have been taking pictures of wildlife near where I live. I have a family of deer that have grown comfortable around me and they have come up to me as close as 15 ft and hung out for about 10 mins. They grazed and played before a noise I couldn't hear ran them off.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Just try to get your questions ready before the first meeting so you have time to get answers to the questions and Breaking down in between classes so you'll remember what they are when you have time with your teacher.
