Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to get to know my students and figure out what they want to learn so I can tailor each lesson for them. I offer a free consultation to start the process!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've gained what I know through experience, and seeking it out myself. I've played in hundreds of shows, produced multiple LP's, written over 100 songs and wrote, recorded, and produced my own music. I've learned to play multilple instruments, and studied musical theory for 20 years.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I prefer to keep my lessons affordable. I charge $20 per half hour, and $30 per hour.
How did you get started teaching?
I think it just happened slowly along my musical journey. I have a proclivity to teach, and I'm really passionate and knowledge seeking when it comes to anything music.
