I work with my students in establishing a healthy musical experience and focus on their desires for their outcome. I work with them developing a goal oriented practice schedule and technique building. Lessons all include theory, scales, chords and reading.
I have been teaching for 30 years. I've done lessons at my home,on Skype, in students homes, at an elementary school and now at Music & Arts in Manchester NH.
I believe in no pressure, no contest, no competitions. Recitals are optional.
I have experience with young students and adult students.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Assessing students desires, skill level, age appropriate teaching material, practice schedule and expectations from me.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Trained by professional music teachers in my younger years. Years of experience in giving lessons as well as musically developing myself with other instruments and learning how to teach from teachers.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Flat fee of $28.00 per half hour lesson payable monthly. Makeup lessons are scheduled for lessons canceled more than 24 hours in advance. There is no make up lesson re-scheduled on a make up lesson. No refund on lesson fees. Last minute cancellations, under 24 hours are not refunded. Payments can be made through PayPal.

Students ranging from age 5 to age 84, a blind student and students with various abilities.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Be comfortable talking with your teacher and ask many questions that help you achieve your goals.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What type of music do you like? Is there a particular musician who's music you want to learn? What kind of music makes you feel happy and sparks your desire to learn?
