About

Joanna Davis is a classical pianist and board-certified music therapist. She holds a B.A. in piano performance and a music therapy board certification. She has been teaching piano lessons since 2013, and has been working as a music therapist since 2017.

Due to her education and experience in both classical piano and music therapy, Joanna is able to provide piano lessons for people of all abilities, including special needs.

As a lifelong musician and music-lover, it brings me great joy to teach music to others. I believe that learning an instrument is a pathway into creative expression, which can bring joy and fulfillment.

She is very talented, responsible, thorough, fun, kind and knowledgeable about music. It will be a lot fun to take piano lessons from her or to have music therapy sessions with her.

    Frequently asked questions

I ask questions to learn if they have a background music, what their musical goals are, and I go over my rate and availability.

I have degrees in piano performance and music therapy. I've been teaching piano lessons for 8 years, and working as a music therapist for 5 years. I have been a classical pianist for 22 years, and have had years of training and performance experience.

For 30 minute lessons, I charge $30 per lesson in my studio, and $35 per lesson in your home.

I started teaching piano lessons while I was in college. I worked for a company where we taught in-home lessons. I found that it was wonderful way to use the skills I was working on in college into the real world. During this time, I found my love of teaching piano.

I have worked with children as young as 5 years old, to college age people. I also have worked with children and young adults with autism.
