Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Ana Fau attended the Eastman School of Music and is a graduate of the Rimsky Korsakov State Conservatory of St. Petersburg, Russia, where she was a student of Vladimir Shakin.

Her numerous concerts as a soloist and chamber musician include the Ateneo Theater of Madrid, the state palaces of Dresden and Freiberg in Germany, the House of the Nation's Friendship, Moscow, the National Geographic, Chaliapin museums and Royal Palaces of St Petersburg, Russia.

She gave recitals in Italy at the Velia Music Festival (touring the Velia and Umbria regions, including the Gazioli Hall in Terni) and in France at the Piano Series of the Eglese Saint Marie of Paris. In Argentina, she appeared in recitals at the St. Martin Cultural Center and as a soloist with the St. Martin Symphony Orchestra of Buenos Aires.

Ana was invited to play at the Grieg's Festival of Norway (2007-08), marking the 100th anniversary of his death in a tour that included The Grieg Museum's Concert Hall of Troldhaugen, the University of Stavanger, the Kabuso Cultural Center, and the Tau Cultural Center.

Her concerts in the U.S. include the Dame Myra Hess Memorial Concerts at the Chicago Cultural Center, Columbia College of Chicago, the Chamber Music Series of the Pan American Symphony Orchestra in Washington DC, the University of Wisconsin, the Cervantes Institute, and the University o Chicago, among others.

She has given lectures at Lake Forest College, Columbia College, and Catholic University of Buenos Aires.

Since 2006, she has been a programming advisor for WFMT, and has recorded audio documentaries on Latin American Music. She has recorded extensively for this radio station, including the Shostakovich Sonata for Cello and Piano with cellist Ian Maksin, marking the 75th anniversary of its premier. She has performed live radio broadcasts of works by Cristian Axt, Ginastera, and J. Turina's.

She has played as a soloist with the National Symphony Orchestra of Honduras, the Saphire Chamber Orchestra at NWU, the Cervantes Chamber Orchestra. As a chamber musician, she has performed with CSO violinist Nathan Cole as well as Ilmari Hopkins, co-principal cellist of the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra in Norway, among others.

She has recorded for the National Radio of Argentina, Municipal Radio of Buenos Aires, Radio Amadeus of Buenos Aires, Radio of Corpus Christi, Texas, National State radio of Russia, National Radio of Honduras and has given interviews with Univision Chicago and Channel 4 of Italian TV.

In 2010 she produced and performed the Chopin Marathon at WFMT, 98.7 FM Chicago, inviting several pianist from the Chicago area, marking the 200th anniversary of his birth, and has recently played recitals in Texas at the invitation of the Chopin Society of Corpus Christi.

Ana Fau serves as piano faculty for the Merit School of Music of Chicago. She is also an organist and choir conductor for the Catholic Archidioces of Chicago.

Ms Fau is currently working on a solo CD release and preparing an international tour in Europe for March 2016
