CHROMA MUSIC CENTER
About
Resume (Part 1 / My Teaching Experience):
My students are motivated by the utilization of state of the art methods. I scratch below the surface of just ‘how to’, and apply the ‘why’s’ of music, including theory and ear training, so that the lessons become a total learning experience, as well as a fascinating journey of discovery. I focus on developing and enhancing, not just the skills of performance, but more importantly, the potential results enabled by the students level of creativity and talent. I’ve taught students from age 6 right on up to age 90+. Many of my students have become music professionals, and many are simply students for the love of playing music.
RESUME (Part 2 / Teaching Methods & My Educational Background):
Ive taught over 1,000 students music. Piano, organ, keyboard, theory, solfeggio (ear training through sight singing), composition, lyric writing, etc. My teaching systems have been documented by such musical legends as Doc Cheatham, as being revolutionary and utilizing breakthrough methods, incomparable to anything else out there. Many of my students have since become music professionals themselves (music educational professors in the school system, touring musicians, writers in Hollywood, and the list goes on. I was fortunate enough to study with the best (Prof. Rudolph Schramm, NYU, Rosa Rio, NBC Musical Background Studio Organist, Julius Grossman, Director of Music division of the High School of Performing Arts, NYC, Bronson Reagan, NYC Julliard School of Music, Ray Wright, Eastman School of Music, and more).
