About
What's special about our studio?
Every lesson I teach, I try to make sure that the student is having fun and is interested in what they are learning. I create a solid foundation of theory and technique, but it approached in a fun and creative manner. Kids enjoy their lessons so much, they don't even know they're learning!
We explore music that students are excited about singing and playing. I also encourage them compose their own music. Because I tailor my teaching to each student, I even have students that are learning sight singing, advanced music theory and musicianship. Since students are excited about what they are learning, they tend to advance quickly.
Our studio is also different because of the community building opportunities. There are many different occasions for students to get together and we also have fun studio wide events.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I find out what they want to accomplish and what music interests them. I also figure out the best and most exciting way to help them achieve this goal.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor of Music in performance from Rutgers and a Master of Music in performance and pedagogy (the method and practice of teaching) from Westminster Choir College in Princeton
I have been teaching for almost 15 years and have dedicated numerous hours to continuing education.
Most importantly through my years of teaching I have been able to figure out how to get students to love music and learn it in an engaging way. They become empowered educated musicians.
