We at Curio Productions have been involved in the film industry through our films, commercials, documentaries, TV shows and we also won an Emmy for our documentary last year.

Personally I enjoy seeing the excitement of a person who I am teaching reach their full potential. Professionally I enjoy watching the process of filming, watching it develope bringing it through the end and putting it together.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We find out what the student knows we work with them on camera and then look at the playback to see what we can do to improve their performance.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been involved in the Production business for over 12 years. During that time I’ve worked with many actors and actresses to achieve the highest quality film work. I have been an Emmy voter for over five years. Also I’ve attended the last two Emmy awards and have made countless contacts in the business. I have a bachelors degree in theatre arts.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
my pricing depends on what’s involved I charge 35 dollars an hour however if they want multiple lesson a plan can be worked out.
How did you get started teaching?
It started over 30 years ago working at my local church teaching children how to sing and taking them around the United States to show off their talents
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all kinds of students from the beginner to more advance and professional students.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I would say the event of being nominated and winning an Emmy Award for a documentary.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Dont look at the price they are charging but look for the quality of the work they have done. There must be a good relationship with the teacher and the student to reach your full potential. If for some reason it doesn’t work for you with that teacher then look for someone that will give you the best opportunity to advance your career.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
do you work one on one? Would it be better to work in a group setting? Are you willing to travel to me? Can we travel to you?
