Custom tailored lessons based on student needs and experience. Pro-style photo equipment is provided. Please see my website go4art.us for details.I worked in a past for Magnum Photos (www.magnumphotos.com) with world best photographers. If interested I can also make introduction to various types of photography: travel photography, studio photography, products photography, wedding photography, celestial photography (I'll provide photo equipment including the telescope), macro photography, microscope digital photography (all equipment including microscope and amber with insects will be provided).
Helping student to discover the art of photography, opening student's imagination for new photography ideas, explaining that the key of the photography's art has nothing to do with the cost of photo equipment but it has everything to do with student's mind and ability to use the life as an art. I’m active artist so I can also enrich your photography lessons with basic art perceptions skills in order to better understand concept of photo-picture composition, photo-light composition, color composition and perception of perspective.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The lesson will cover 2 hours session on my location in Greenwood Lake, NY (in my art studio for about 1 hour and outside on plein air for about 1 hour). Lesson includes orientation session to find out student's interests and create a student's custom curriculum based on student's interests. I will also provide photo pro grade equipment and teaching of using it: Nikon D200 camera body, Nikon lenses set (zoom, normal, wide angle and macro), Nikon flash light. I will also explain why the art of photography is not relevant to the cost of photo equipment.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm active artist, have my own art studio, published my art works, did my personal art shows, used to work as professional photographer, worked in a past for Magnum Photos (www.magnumphotos.com) with world best photographers. I have over 40 years of photography experience starting from film cameras and using dark room to modern digital cameras and digital canvas printing and books self publishing.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I do lessons on Saturdays only and in my location only. Every lesson is about 2 hours. Photo-equipment is provided. Price is covering cost of using photo-equipment, art-studio space, studio light and backdrops.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Define your learning goals or ask for art introduction lessons. Private lessons are expensive but remeber that investment into your skills and knowledge will never loose the value and it will hold it's value during all your life, even some day you may pass it to your childrens. Contrary the purchased photo-equipment will loose some of it's value after a number of years.
