About
Hello all!
I have been playing piano for 50 years and teaching music for over 35 years. I starting in West Chester University and have been playing ever since. I really love playing and especially instructing music. I have an approach to teaching the piano in the respects that the lessons should be fun and occasional humorous. I like to keep the learning fun, yet serious and very productive. In the past ten years alone, I have taught over 100 students! Some of which started young (6-8 years old) and now they are going on to universities as music majors.
I like to meet with each student first and get to know them. As each person is an individual, I like to teach them how music can be fun, rewarding, and prosperous. Music will actually help them advance in their daytime school curriculum, especially in subjects, like math, science, and the arts
Lastly, I create and give each student a specially made CD which includes my own personal lesson music, along with popular songs they can learn from.
Thank you for taking the time to read my description, and I look forward to talking with you soon.
Regards, Terry Surratt
