Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Music is something that will never be completely understood. Yes, it can be broken down into mathematical relationships and theory, but the effects of music on us and specifically other musicians, is something else entirely. Music has a profound ability to stimulate the brain intellectually and creativity, and to touch our spirit.
So, I would love that my every new student can feel and love music so that he can understand his/her respective role i playing an instrument. A student should always be determined and sincere towards his/her instrument.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We will be providing all the coursework for learning an indivisual instrument. All music notes will be provided.
Stage performances will also play an initial role for students because this is the main place where students can identify their mistakes. Playing infront of 100-200 people will boost their confidence and personality skills. Different levels of competitions will also be organised amoung students so that they can face competitions amoungs their own age factors.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Yes, as per our system we charge around 20$ per lesson. A lesson is of 60-90 minutes.
We usually take around 4 classes a week so that the student can get to know more knowledge about music.
Although, as per our student's preference we follow all the instructions what they ask. If they want, we can take 2 or 3 classes a week too. We are also available with any time our student is comfortable with.
How did you get started teaching?
Well, I was 7 years old and since then I had passion and love for music. I enjoyed playing music and also won alot of certificates and awards at different states level.
When I completed my high school, I wanted to teach music to students. It also teaches us respnsibility, discipline and leadership skills. I started my music class with around 10-15 students and now I have a badge of around 500-1000 students who are taking music classes from me.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all types of students including Indians, Foreigners and much more.
Since I am an Indian so I love to teach Indian people about their indian music but also love to teach foreigners our indian culture and music system. Teaching Foreigners helps us to make them understand how indian music also plays a crutial role in their lifes.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
before COVID-19, my band particpated in a live event in INDIA were we played our music infront of 1000-1500 people. It was really refreshing and memorable.
Because of the current scenario we are not able to attend any shows but once the COVID pandemic is over, will love to take our students to participate in these such kinds of live shows.
In the past, we have all performed alot of live concerts in hotels, colleges, and many famous places.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I beleive a student should only take or learn that particular instrument in which he has interest and would love learning it. I beleive a student learns music by heart, fisrtly he should expertise completely in any of the instrument and when he is satsified fully with his instrument he can switch by taking another percussion instrument so that he can excell in all the fields of music.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
A student should always see his teacher Profile.
They should see his accomplishments towards music and how much sincere and determined he is towards music. Students should see if the teacher is a complete match of them i.e comfortable with the following price, teaching days, time and much more. Reviews also play an initial role in selecting a teacher for learning music.
