About
Top level instruction from a former pro athlete who understands the intricacies of the game and knows exactly what it takes to excel at the highest level in the sport.
I take great pride in watching my youth athletes achieve their set goals and take life lessons from the basketball court into their day to day life experiences. Few things bring me more joy than watching my players work hard towards finding success in something they love.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
New workouts begin with a conversation regarding what the athlete is looking to accomplish, a dynamic warmup to prep for higher intensity movements, followed by skill work to get a clear evaluation of players’ strengths and weaknesses. Workouts are then tailored to a player’s needs for all future sessions to get the best results in the shortest amount of time.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Former professional basketball player and Division I athlete. Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach (CSCS) by the NSCA and CPR/AED certified trainer.

How did you get started teaching?
Once my playing career ended due to injury I found myself wanting to help other athletes avoid the pitfalls of injury and poor time management on the court. I found that the majority of athletes spend a lot of time in gyms not knowing how to spend their time WISELY so I became drawn to helping players work smarter rather than harder.
What types of students have you worked with?
Players of all ages and skill levels from 2nd grade to High school and College athletes to Pro players.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
One of my players who was incredibly driven but not yet skilled and still growing into his body began working with me 2x per week on the court and in the weight room for the last year. Without proper direction he may have never had a chance of making his school team because he was a bit too clumsy and not strong enough to hold his own on the court. He will now be playing Varsity as a freshman at his High school and I could not be happier for him nor prouder of how far he’s come!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
1) Ask questions. If you don’t understand WHY you are doing something, your coach should be able to tell you immediately and it should make sense right away as to how you could implement it in game settings.
2) Don’t fight how you feel. If you do not connect with your coach after 10 minutes. You won’t connect with him/her after 10 hours. Use your time wisely!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Where am I my most comfortable and uncomfortable on the court? What brings me success and where do I struggle?
Most importantly can I be honest with myself when I answer these questions. Progress starts with being true to yourself!
