Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first step is building a good relationship with my student and developing trust. After the trust factor is developed, we can start working on the lesson and having fun. Tennis starts with understanding the technique and developing good rythem of your shots. Usually I teach various skills including grip management, movement, and progressions. From here, we try to determine the needs of my students and work out a plan that works their needs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been training for 15 years and teaching tennis for almost 10 years. I'm certified professional in Adult Development with Professional Registry and Recreational Coach with USPTA. I'm also Certified Cardio Tennis Instructor and Certified USTA 10 and Under Professional.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My pricing is competitive and the lowest on the market for having a professional tennis instructor. I'm insured by PTR, have years of experience and offer the best quality lesson for you.
Usually, I recommend obtaining a package of 6 lessons (1 hr each) for $300 which saves you a lot of money. A one hour lesson is usually $60.
How did you get started teaching?
I enjoy tennis and love the sport. It's my passion helping others find the same love and passion for the sport. This has made me passionate for teaching others allowing them to grow important techniques and skills in the game.
What types of students have you worked with?
I work with all types and levels of students. I've taught the complete beginner to intermediate players. Also, I've worked with children to adults developing their game of tennis.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Picking the right coach or instructor is an important first step. Make sure the person has knowledge and has dedicated their life to improving in the sport. I am 100% committed to tennis and love it with all my heart. Seeing my students improving and loving the game of tennis makes me want to continue teaching others about it.
