About
Each student receives a customized lesson experience that will be engaging and progressive. We will work together to design your own personalized curriculum and set goals based on what you need and want to learn. We will also work to develop your critical and analytical skills to help you achieve your goals efficiently. In short, I teach you how to effectively practice so that you will see and hear the results!
Music, for me, has been a wonderful tool of expression, inspiration, contemplation and discipline. I love observing what this can do for my students.
I remain an active performer/composer/arranger in the music industry and enjoy sharing what I learn from those experiences with my students so that they will be aware of current expectations, technology and performance practices.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I start by asking them questions about themselves such as what brought them to the cello or composition or how they feel they best learn. Then, I have them play or compose for me a bit so that I can get a feel for where they are and what direction we need to take for progress.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelors(USC) and a Masters (UNT) in Cello Performance and a Film Scoring Certificate from Berklee Online. I also have been a working professional in the music industry for over 20 years.
