I am an in-demand performing guitarist and guitar teacher based in Manhattan. I am pursuing a Master's degree in classical music and hold a Bachelors degree in Music performance. What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to start with basic note reading and foundations for a good technique.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's degree in Classical Guitar Performance from Rowan University and am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Classical Guitar Performance at Mannes School of Music.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Lessons start at $55 an hour for online or if you travel, but prices vary depending how far I will be traveling to you.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching while in my undergraduate program as a substitute teacher at a local music store. I became passionate about helping aspiring musicians and worked at growing my own studio.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students of all ages, from 5 year old children to adults. I have also worked with students from complete beginners to more advanced students who were auditioning for music colleges.
