About

My priority is to provide you with an experience that is not only enjoyable, but beneficial to your mind and your body. I operate out of Las Vegas, Nevada, but often work remotely as well. I pride myself in individualizing your experience based on your specific needs and goals. In our yoga sessions, you will become proficient in the basics of breathing, body alignment, and the intelligent use of props. I will individualize your practice to suit your needs and abilities. My goal is for you to leave our sessions saying, "That was just what I needed!" In our nutrition sessions, I will spend time on nutrition education and practical application. My specialty goes beyond grocery lists and meal plans... I am more interested in guiding you in shifting your habits and mindset to set you up for the rest of your life.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Yoga: I am a 500 hour yoga teacher, and I received my training through YogaWorks. Nutrition: I graduated from The University of Nevada Las Vegas with a B.S. in Nutrition Science in Dietetics. I also hold a Precision Nutrition L1 certification.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Yoga: I began my personal practice in 2013. Yoga has been a valuable tool to consciously turn inward, and run toward instead of away from my fears. This process has made me more generous, joyful, and whole. As my body has become more limber, flexible, and strong... so has my attitude and approach to life. This work is some of the most important that I've ever done for myself, which is why I want to help others on their own personal journey. Nutrition: I started at a fitness facility here in Las Vegas running nutrition and fitness challenges to help people improve their health. From these large group (40-60 people) challenges, I segued into one-on-one nutrition coaching. I found this fulfilling, as I could look at each person as an individual, and provide them with a more customized approach to their health.

This work is some of the most important that I've ever done for myself, which is why I want to help others on their own personal journey. Nutrition: I started at Camp Rhino (a fitness facility here in Las Vegas) running nutrition and fitness challenges to help people improve their health. From these large group (40-60 people) challenges, I segued into one-on-one nutrition coaching. I found this fulfilling, as I could look at each person as an individual, and provide them with a more customized approach to their health.

Yoga: I currently teach yoga at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas for the guests that travel from around the world! (So in this regard, there's a very wide range.) I have taught all-male classes, women ages 50-70 in meditation and restorative yoga practices, as well as private one-on-one sessions for people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds. Nutrition: I have worked with over 200 nutrition clients over the last three years. From children as young as 10 years, to adults well into their 70's, my clientele has been broad. While the basic principles of proper nutrition are the same, my approach and implementation is what differs.

Yoga: The most recent project that I am fond of is the Broga project. A member of the gym that I attend said that his chiropractor recommended yoga. He got a group of guys together and we did 12 sessions. We focused on their biggest areas of difficulty (hips, chest, shoulders, and back). From start to finish, the project was about three months. We all learned so much! Nutrition: With input from fellow nutrition coaches, I have created a 12 Week Nutrition Challenge that outlines the basics of proper nutrition, includes a weekly in-person meeting, and group accountability. From individual activities and lectures to group exercises and exciting weekly challenges, this program helps you break through the monotony and plateaus of dieting. It has been a process of about a month to put the program together. It was just a matter of blending the best elements of individual and team nutrition to bring the program to life!

1) The most important piece when hiring someone for private yoga or nutrition is understanding the expectations. Be honest about your needs and goals, and don't be afraid to ask questions. It's important to sense a connection to the professional you're hiring, and feel like you're being heard and valued. 2) Consider the long-term when it comes to a yoga practice or nutrition coaching. Rarely will you be able to achieve your goals in a short period of time. (I usually work with clients for 6 - 12 months) Both yoga and nutrition are a lifelong journey.

1) What are your personal goals, and reasons for reaching out to a professional? 2) How do you want your instructor to treat you and/or make you feel when you talk and are doing sessions together? (Understood, validated, blunt, straightforward, encouraging, etc.) 3) Are you interested in a quick fix, or are you in this for the long term?
