About
Welcome to 6-4-3 Baseball, Home of baseball instructor Kody Gorden. Kody has been doing private lessons and running club organizations since 2017. In that time, Kody has amassed 200+ clients that have praised the progression they have seen in their kids since working with Kody. Kody is very diligent in his instruction. He breaks down hitting, pitching, and fielding's complexity while explaining the mechanics in their most simplistic form. What Kody does that separates himself from others is his focus on arm care/strength, and the mental side of the game. Kodys' clients have had extreme success on the baseball field, due to their mental and mechanical strength. Kody has coached 22 division 1/professional athletes since 2017.
In his successful 20+ year career, Kody Gorden had many accomplishments. Kody was a 2 time First Team All - State performer while at Cimarron Memorial High School. In 2009, Kody led Cimarron to a State Championship appearance throwing a 2 hitter in the Semi Final game. Cimarron reached as high as 6 in the ESPN top 25 poll that year. After high school, Kody attended Western Nevada College where he amassed a 14-1 record and 2.48 ERA. Western Nevada was ranked as high as #2 in the country and reached Junior College World Series. The success that Kody had at WNC, allowed him to recieve a D-1 full-ride scholarship from the University of Nevada, Reno. During Kody's time as UNR, he was used as a relief pitcher, helping the Wolfpack to a conference championship. After college, Kody played 3 year of professional baseball: Pecos League (Taos Blizzard), Frontier League (Normal Cornbelters), Mount Rainieer League (Greys Harbors Gulls)
I enjoy every aspect of what I do, the joy of seeing progression and the relationships I build in that time is unparallel.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
As an instructor, I also understand what it's like to be a student. It can be very difficult to grasp information at times. With my lessons, they are intended to be process based, and not immediate result based. My students will learn 1-2 things at a time, and perfect those before they can move on to anything else. I suggest saving up for months-years of lessons when it comes to quality instrction. I have always invested in the marathon, not sprint theory and it has seemed to work at a very high rate.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
When I was at Western Nevada, and University of Nevada, Reno I studied Pshycology (Study of the mind), and Kinistetics (Study of body movements). These two subjects have allowed me to excel as an instructor.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My standard pricing system go as follows:
1 Hr: $90
1/2 Hr: $50
1 1/2 Hr: $120
Group Lessons: 2 kids: $60 - Hour
3+ kids: $50 - Hour
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching immediately after I finished my playing career. My love for the game just drew me to this profession.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with many various types of students. My students have ranged from the age of 6-20. I currently have 4 students who have recieved College Scholarships (University of Oregon, Dixie State, Arizona State, and College of Southern Nevada)
