About
I have been around the game of baseball since I was 5 years old. My Dad was a scout for the Chicago Cubs. I played highschool ball where I was an all state first baseman. I went on to play Juco ball as well as Division II baseball. I threw my rotator cuff out in a game when I was 21 and that was the end of my career. But, I love the game and even went on to play some semi pro ball for the Reno Diamonds in my mid 20's. I am a teacher of the game. I love to show the young kids how amazing this sport is and teach them so that they can get the same enjoyemnt I did. I currently am the head baseball coach with Adidas/Mike Bryant Academy in Las Vegas with the 11u AA team.
I have a passion for teaching the game of baseball to the youth of today.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First off learn about what they want from the game of baseball. Is this something they want to pursue to get a college education with a scholarship? To get signed by a major league scout? Or to just enjoy playing the game and see where it takes them? Set expectations from the beginning and then take the skill set they already have and turn that into a skill they can utiizle to become a better ball player.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
40+ years around the game. Played from the age of 5 until acutally my late 30's. Coached for the past 5 years.

How did you get started teaching?
I think I have always been a teacher of the game even when I was playing. My teammates always looked to me for better explanations of what they might be doing wrong or a part of the game they didn't understand.
What types of students have you worked with?
Mostly youth. 8-18 years of age.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Teaching my son the proper batting mechanics. He became a weak contact hitter to one that now hits homeruns and hits the ball hard all over the field. That was in the last year of working with him.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find a teacher that you can bond with listen too and sees the big picture in how the process works to make him or her a better ball player.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What do I want to get out of this?
