We see kids with special needs in the clinic and use horses to aid in the Therapies. Learning to ride and connect with an animal is fun and healing and therapeutic. I adore our horses and treat them like the very good workers that they are and in return they do anything asked of them when a more special child is riding. It’s beautiful to watch and a joy to teach. Plus it gives parents a few hours a week to get other things done that’s might be falling through the cracks when you are dealing with the stress of raising a special needs child. Bring them here. Take a break. They love it. You will too.
Seeing a child use words for the first time, or knowing that you gave them a little break in their day where they were smiling and happy fills my heart.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My typical student would learn how to take care of a horse despite challenges. I provide safe, fun activities that are up to your child’s level of horsemanship. We start small and we grow. I have kids that are scared to touch a horse and I have kids that are jumping. And everyone is having fun in between.
