LFacting - ‘out Of Comfort Zone’ Acting And Performance Training
About
'out of comfort zone’ acting and performance classes with Labros Filippou
Los Angeles - NYC - Athens
A class about freedom of expression.
An exercise about trusting the center and empowering the instinct.
Breaking free of all techniques and beliefs about what that art form is. Acting is not about being smart. It’s about re-acting.
Open to artists of all levels, ages, genres, genders, ethnicities, and non artists.
_
• Body + Voice exercise
• Movement + Improv with text (Reverse Dramaturgy exercise)
• Scene study / monologue-dialogue / cold reading
• Breaking free from technique
Text work will be applied through Reverse Dramaturgy exercise.
Reverse Dramaturgy is an exercise about the revelation of the character through the relationship. The participants will walk naked and clean from all the pre-decided characteristics and behavioral elements of the role.
This revelation will dress the performer up with all that the here and now suggests.
