Luisa Muhr Acting/Voice & Speech/Audition/Theater/Shakespeare/Film & TV/Public Speaking Coaching

As a professional multi- and interdisciplinary artist (actor/vocalist/movement artist/director) I have been a performing arts educator/coach, specializing in acting (theater, film), voice & speech, audition/performance technique, movement, directing, and public speaking for almost a decade. I have experience in teaching adults, teenagers, and children of any level in a group or one-on-one sessions and have taught around the world in English and German.

Apart from private coaching I have taught as a performing arts teacher and acting instructor at institutions around the world, including the Stagecoach Theatre Art School in Montreal, Canada, w@lz (Vienna Learning Center) in Vienna, Austria, Masibambane College in Johannesburg, South Africa, and the Acting Enrichment program at the Bedford Stuyvesant Collegiate Charter School (Uncommon School) in Brooklyn, New York. I am currently teaching German Through Music and Movement at the United Nations International School (German School) in NYC.

I have also been offered by Meredith Monk to teach some of Monk's work in different communities in New York and elsewhere.

I run my own theater and performing arts company FENGARI Ensemble in New York where I am the founder and artistic director and also am the creator and curator of Women Between Arts, an interdisciplinary women artists series at The New School.

What I love is working on freeing the voice, body, and mind in a fun and playful environment that still provides discipline and helps my students grow. I particularly specialize in helping people own their individual voices.

In one-on-one sessions I pay extra close attention to the individual needs of each student and provides guidance, leading the student towards their desired goals and development of their craft.
